Human Trafficking Presentation

Women’s Services Inc will be hosting a presentation concerning human trafficking, a dangerous occurrence which often goes unnoticed. In addition to the presentation, WSI is partnering with Why Not Us? with a passive art display called the Red Sand Project. The initiative is a passive art display that uses sidewalk interventions to create opportunities for people to question and take action against vulnerabilities that can lead to human trafficking and exploitation. Overlooked populations – refugees, immigrants, girls, and others – are most at risk of being enslaved, spending their lives being exploited for the profit of others. The Red Sand Project reminds us to help keep those marginalized populations from slipping through the cracks.
