ALERT: Continued Utility/Power Failure on Campus

March 26, 2023 - 9:17 AM

There continues to be utility/power failure for some areas of Meadville and Allegheny College. Penelec has been notified and are working to address the problem, but we have no clear timeline for restoration of services. We are working with students in the affected residences to ensure they have access to food, showers, and wifi in other areas of campus. Phone service, including cell service, on campus is unreliable due to the power outage. Students, faculty and staff should monitor e-mail, the college web site, social and local media for updated information and further updates. Contact Campus Safety in the event of an emergency: publicsafety@allegheny.edu or 814-332-3357.

The Year of Meadville is about building a sustainable and just future for our town by:

  • Celebrating Meadville and the voices of its residents
  • Listening to, learning from, and building with each other
  • Organizing for community and economic development
  • Planning for a bright, healthy, and vital future

Meadville is a town on the move, and The Year of Meadville is designed to contribute to ongoing community efforts. From the Community Wellness Initiative to the Downtown Meadville Business Alliance to the Meadville Neighborhood Center, events will bolster current work happening in our community.

Most Year of Meadville events are community workshops focused around our central themes:

The Year of Meadville will culminate in a Community Celebration held across Allegheny College and throughout Meadville.
