Assistant Professor of Art Byron Rich was selected as artist in residence at Pilotenkueche at the historic Spinnerei Arts Center in Leipzig, Germany, where he pursued his research between June and August of 2015. He was featured in a 23-page article in the art journal Art Habens for their summer issue focusing on influential emerging international artists. Professor Rich’s work is to be featured as part of Global Renaissance 2.0 in Karlsruhe, Germany at ZKM, New Media Institute between October and February. The work featured is an outgrowth of Protista Imperialis 1.0, which was finished in 2012.
