26-Member-Strong Allegheny College Jazz Band to Present Spring Concert

April 18, 2016 — The Allegheny College Jazz Band will perform their annual spring concert on Sunday, April 24 at 3:15 p.m. in the lobby of the college’s Campus Center. The concert is free and open to the public.

Featured music will include “Sing, Sing, Sing,” “Woodchopper’s Ball,” “Georgia on My Mind,” “Getaway,” “Summer Wind,” “Orange Colored Sky,” “It’s Only a Paper Moon,” “I Will Always Love You,” “Do Nothin’ Till You Hear From Me,” “Hurricane Season” and “Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is?”

Instrumental soloists and two vocal soloists will be showcased, including James Niblock, the college’s choral director.

The ensemble, made up of 25 students and one faculty member, is under the direction of Stephen F. Corsi.
