Allegheny College established the Employee Wellness Task Force in 2005 to further demonstrate its commitment to employee health and well being. The task force is comprised of volunteers from a cross-section of campus.
The Employee Wellness Task Force functions to enhance and foster the health and well-being of all Allegheny College employees.
The Employee Wellness Task Force strives to coordinate one or two employee “wellness” programs per year to encourage positive changes in lifestyle behaviors that will result in overall health enhancement.
The Task Force, along with Allegheny’s health insurance provider identifies health risks facing our employees and recommends wellness programs to be offered to employees. The programs are intended to educate and provide employees with the necessary information to achieve a healthier lifestyle.
