Percussion Ensemble and Jazz Band Concert to Feature Works by Local Composers

MEADVILLE, Pa. – Nov. 2, 2009 – The Allegheny College percussion ensemble and jazz band will present a concert featuring works by local composers and arrangers on Sunday, Nov. 8 at 3:15 p.m. in the Henderson Campus Center lobby on the Allegheny campus. The performance is free and open to the public.

The concert will include special arrangements by Dan Cervone of Meadville, Lee Williams of Edinboro, and Al Zurcher of Gannon University and the Dave Stevens Big Band. Aimee Reash, an instructor of music at Allegheny, will be the featured vocalist with the jazz band.

The jazz band and percussion ensemble are directed by Ronald Stitt and Stephen Corsi, respectively. Both are instructors of music at Allegheny.
