Widener University’s Psychology and Business (PsyD/MBA) Joint Degree Program

Widener University’s Psychology and Business PsyD/MBA and PsyD/MBA in Health Care Management options offers a unique opportunity for students to become trained in a high caliber APA accredited clinical psychology doctoral program and also gain competence in executive coaching, consulting to organizations, or working in health care administration.

This program is a viable alternative for those considering graduate training in industrial-organizational or consulting psychology or for those who do not want to have to choose between clinical practice and working in business.

SJU has a full-time program designed to provide students with a solid grounding in the scientific study of psychology. All students in our program are assigned to a mentor and conduct an empirically based research thesis under his/her direction.

The event will be held online and facilitated by Dr. Jodi Mindell, Director of the Graduate Psychology Department at Saint Joseph’s University. You will be provided with an overview on the master’s program in Psychology, as well as the application process. At the conclusion of the webinar, a question and answer session will be held. Your $35 application fee will be waived if you register for and attend a Virtual Open House.

State University of New York, University at Buffalo accepting Grad Students

The Psychology Department at the State University of New York, University at Buffalo (UB) is currently accepting applications for our MA and Ph.D. programs.

The Department of Psychology at UB is dedicated to offering state-of-the-art education and training to its graduate students to prepare them to become leading researchers and to assume important positions in academic institutions, industry, or professional practice.  All of our graduate programs emphasize research and scholarship contributing to the scientific understanding of psychology.

Careers in Community Organizing for Social Justice on Oct. 7

The Direct Action & Research Training (DART) Center will be hosting an online information session on Wednesday, October 7 at 8 pm to discuss careers in community organizing with individuals interested in uniting congregations and working for social, economic and racial justice.

DART hires and trains organizers to lead campaigns on a broad set of justice issues including:

* Plugging the school-to-prison pipeline
* Fighting for immigrants’ rights
* Expanding access to primary health and dental care
* Prioritizing funding for affordable housing and job training
* Reining in predatory lending practices

Positions start January 11, 2016 in St. Petersburg, Ft. Lauderdale and Miami, FL.

Positions start August 15, 2016 in Charleston, SC, St. Petersburg, FL and Lexington, KY.

Starting salary $34,000/year + benefits, with regular performance based raises.

SONA Workshop Fri, Sept 25, 12 pm Schultz East Alcove

Attention all psychology and neuroscience students who plan to use SONA this year to recruit participants. Professor Lauren Paulson will hold a SONA workshop illustrating the basics you need to know to post your study and use the SONA system. It will take place on Friday, Sept. 25th from noon to 1:00 in East Shultz Alcove.
