Peer Note Taking

Students that are approved to have a note taker will be provided a supplemental set of notes from another student already enrolled in the course. The the Senior Assistant Dean of Student Accessibility & Support Services will locate a student.  In most cases, the instructor for the course will not need to assist in finding a note taker; however, they will still be informed that the student has been approved for the accommodation and Student Accessibility Support Services will find a student that is willing to fill this role. 

 It is imperative to keep confidential the name of the student for whom the notes are intended. 

The student selected as the note taker will meet with Student Accessibility and Support Services and be trained on the process. Confidentiality will also be stressed during this meeting.
