Shuttle Transportation

Transportation is offered to/from the Pittsburgh airport for all breaks and to/from the Pittsburgh Megabus stop located at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center for the majority of breaks. Shuttles are also available at the beginning and end of each semester to/from the Cleveland airport. For other transportation needs, please refer to the Alternative Transportation Options listed below.

SPRING BREAK REVISED SHUTTLE: There will be no returning spring break shuttles to the college. One additional departing shuttle has been added for 8 a.m. Wednesday morning, March 18. It is not necessary to register for this shuttle, and there is no cost. Please meet the shuttle at 7:30 a.m. in front of the Campus Center on Highland Avenue. The bus will leave promptly at 8 a.m. for departure to the Pittsburgh airport, and then (if there are passengers) to Megabus, Greyhound and Amtrak stations.

2019-2020 Academic Year Shuttle Schedule

Officially Licensed Shuttle Provider

Pittsburgh Shuttles are provided by Campbell Bus Lines (1-724-794-2440). Reservations are accepted through the on-line reservation service listed above until three business days prior to the shuttle. If the shuttle has seats remaining, Campbell Bus Company will accept additional reservations directly at a cost of $40. The airport pick-up location for Pittsburgh shuttles is at the baggage claim department near the Hertz Rental Car counter. The driver will have an Allegheny College sign.

Cleveland Shuttles are provided at the beginning and end of fall and spring semester. Reservations are accepted through the on-line reservation service listed above until three business days prior to the shuttle. Cleveland shuttles will be provided by Allegheny College. If the shuttle has seats remaining, additional reservations will be accepted at a cost of $40.

Alternative Transportation Options: 

Zipcars (

Students are able to access Zipcars parked right on campus. The Zipcar program offers low hourly and daily rates which include gas and insurance. Those interested in taking advantage of the program must be 18 years or older to participate. Allegheny members can join the on-demand car-sharing program for a nominal annual fee.

  • An initial membership fee is $15.00
  • Rates vary from $7.50 to $9.00 per hour depending on the type of vehicle
  • Two cars are available and are located behind Reis Hall

The Greyhound Bus Station is located in the Downtown Mall at 900 Water Street, Meadville. The local Greyhound office may be contacted at (814) 724-5423.


Metro Taxi
Located in Meadville, Metro Taxi is available 24 hours per day, seven days a week. Metro Taxi does not accept credit cards at this time. The Campus Center has an ATM for cash withdrawals. Riders can share cost of ride, fees are assessed by the meter reading. 1-814-282-9695

CATA: Crawford Area Transportation Authority
Local transportation only. Contracted by Allegheny Student Government as “the Loop,” CATA also has a full schedule and stops available on their website. Students will be able to ride by simply showing the driver their student ID.
