President Mullen, the faculty, and staff of Allegheny College cordially invite you to attend a weekend steeped in tradition – Commencement 2017 in the 202nd year of the College. In addition to the Baccalaureate ceremony on Friday and the Commencement ceremony on Saturday, many events will be planned for graduates and their families.
Commencement ceremony details at-a-glance:
- May 13, 2017 at 2 PM
- Bicentennial Plaza on Bentley Lawn
- Tickets: Not Required
- Closed Circuit Viewing: Schultz Banquet Hall – For those who prefer to sit indoors
In the event of inclement weather:
- May 13, 2017 at 2 PM – Doors open at Noon
- Wise Center Sports Forum
- Tickets: Required – Tickets issued directly to graduating student
- Closed Circuit Viewing: Shafer Auditorium – For guests with children and/or those not holding tickets

The decision on the location of the Commencement ceremony will be announced online (this site, allegheny.edu, My Allegheny) and in social media (, , ) on the morning of Commencement.
All students walking in Commencement need to pick up their Commencement tickets from the Office of Conference and Event Services (Schultz Hall – Room 191) between 9 AM and 4 PM, Monday, May 8 through Thursday, May 11.
Paula Kerger, president and chief executive officer of PBS, will deliver the Commencement address at Allegheny College in the college’s 202nd year.
