Community Partner Fair

Fall 2024
Come network with and learn about local non-profits and organizations in the Meadville area!  Organizations present include:  FCCA, Tamarack Wildlife Center, Lake Effect Leaders, AmeriCorps VISTA, and more!

Meadville Soup Kitchen

Transport Provided!
Help prepare, serve and clean up at the Meadville Soup Kitchen.

Special Olympics

Coach various sports and work with athletes across Crawford County!

Produce Express

Transport Provided!
Work with Food Bank staff members to greet 175 local families and help with the unloading of boxes from the food bank truck into personal vehicles.

MLK Mentoring

Work Study Position
Mondays – Thursdays 3:30 – 6:00 pm
Help middle school students with tutoring and mentoring. Contact Colin Hurley for more details.

4th Graders for Science

February 9th, 23rd, March 15th, 22nd and April 5th
Guide and participate in science related activities with local 4th graders around campus!

CFS Food Pantry

Mondays and Thursdays 11am – 3pm

Annual Events

Service Saturday

One Saturday per month students volunteer for various service projects around the Meadville area. Students work from nine to noon across the community and can volunteers as a group or individual.

Second Harvest Holiday Food Drive

This day-long drive-through food drive collects tons (literally!) of food and thousands of in-cash donations to benefit 9 local food pantries. Volunteers help in one or two hour shifts to collect, sort, weigh, and pack donations.

Alternative Spring Break

ASB is composed of week-long issue focused trips that give students service opportunities in other parts of the country. Students have worked with Habitat for Humanity, VIVe La Casa, Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and State/National Parks. Students have travelled as far north as Vermont and as far south as New Orleans. The trips change every year so keep an eye out in the Spring for more information!

Make a Difference Day

Join over 200 Allegheny students and community members to complete projects in the local community. Projects range from raking leaves to building wheelchair ramps! Gather a group to create a team, and look for registration opportunities.

Global Youth Service Day

Youth across Crawford County gather at Allegheny to partake in several service projects throughout the day. College students assist in this experience by being group leaders for the projects and mentors.
