The Parent & Family Council was re-established in the fall of 2021 and is comprised of a leadership group of dedicated parents and families of current Allegheny students. The Council seeks to offer parents the opportunity to enrich the student experience by serving as a link between the College and current families. The Council works to promote Allegheny’s mission by supporting parent and family engagement, programming, and connection in order to build and maintain an active parent and family community.
The Council serves as a resource for fellow Allegheny families promotes opportunities for parent and family engagement that support student learning, growth, development, career exploration, and their transition from prospective student, to enrolled student, to Allegheny graduate provides insight, advice, and guidance to College leadership about opportunities to enhance the parent and student experience at Allegheny And, members make Allegheny a philanthropic priority during our time as members of the Council, model 100% giving to the College as a Council, and encourage philanthropic support from other parents and families.
The Council meets 2–3 times a year and hosts an annual reception for Parents & Families during Blue & Gold weekend.
