There are several ways that students can be involved in on-campus research experiences. In addition, funding support is available for students engaged in summer research with an Allegheny faculty member. More information is available on the URSCA (Undergraduate Research, Scholarship, and Creative Activities) website.
There are many REU (Research Experiences for Undergraduates) programs offered around the US over the summer. The NSF (National Science Foundation) is a sponsor of many of these REU programs. You can explore the options using the discipline-based list that they provide.
