Purpose: The purpose of the Allegheny Knitting Club is to provide students with the opportunity to learn how to knit or crochet their own scarves, blankets, gloves, hats and other various pieces of clothing or accessories. Students will have access to patterns and stitches through books and member knowledge as well as the chance to perfect the craft using different materials and equipment. The club promotes an appreciation for handmade goods and the time and effort it takes to create your own unique style. We also participate in numerous charity projects each semester, both locally and nationally. Furthermore, the club is not limited to knit and crochet; all forms of needlecraft are welcome, including (but not limited to) felting, needlepoint, cross-stitch, and plastic canvas.
