Kirschner Publishes “Trust and Fear in Civil Wars: Ending Intrastate Conflicts” with Lexington Books

Assistant Professor of Political Science Shanna Kirschner’s book Trust and Fear in Civil Wars: Ending Intrastate Conflicts was recently published by Lexington Books. The book investigates how information that combatants in civil wars have about each other influences the severity of their fears about future security and thus their willingness to sign a peace settlement. To do this, Professor Kirschner integrated quantitative analyses of a cross-national dataset with data from fieldwork in Turkey and Cyprus and case study evidence from Sri Lanka.
