Homeless Outreach of Crawford County

Homeless Outreach is dedicated to serving the needs of families and adults that are homeless with resources to help them. They provide information on sources for food, clothing , and other resources available through different agencies and organizations as well as collect items for hygiene kits, blankets, and clothing.

Meadville Area Housing Authority

The three locations of Gill Commons, Elm Street, and Morgan Village provide low-income housing to residents of Meadville that bases the cost of living on each family’s income.

Forest Green Estates

Another low-income housing community that provides affordable housing based on income to help provide shelter to those residents who cannot afford to pay the full cost of housing.


A low income housing community that provides low-income housing and helps empower residents by providing skill building services at their outreach center to eventually help those residents move out into permanent housing.


CHAPS aims to help  mental health consumers through improving housing access and providing housing support to empower them to be independent and responsible members of society.

Center for Family Services

Their Essential Services Program provides assistance with housing, mortgage and budget planning, and utilities and rent that helps prevent homelessness and educates the community on important skills related to home ownership and independent living.

Women’s Services

Women’s Services offers temporary shelter to women and their dependent children who need housing as a result of domestic violence, homelessness, or unsuitable living conditions.

St. James Haven

An emergency shelter that provides homelessness resources for men who are in need. This agency provides temporary housing but provides a referral service to help men get back on their feet.

United Way of Crawford County Community Improvement Center

Coordinates a volunteer effort to help members of our community, especially those with special needs or limited income, to make their homes safe and accessible.
