There is no known threat to the Allegheny College Campus Community. The Shelter in Place has been lifted for the Saegertown area (approximately 6 miles north of campus). Scene is under control.

There are no known threats to the Allegheny College Campus Community. Crawford County Emergency Services has posted an alert to shelter in place in the Saegertown Area, approximately 6 miles north of campus, due to an industrial fire/explosion. Please avoid the Saegertown area as emergency services have roads blocks. Residents of Saegertown have not been evacuated but have been requested to shelter in place.

A member of the Allegheny Campus Community was involved in a traffic accident while crossing North Main St. The pedestrian who was conscious and alert after the incident has been transported to Meadville Medical Center for a medical evaluation and has spoken with their family. Meadville City Police are investigating this incident.

The emergency on the Allegheny College campus has ended. Power has been restored. Resume normal operations/activities.
Notify Public Safety at (814)332-3357 if you are still without power.

There is a utility/power failure at Allegheny College and some of the surrounding neighborhood. Penelec has been notified and is working to address the problem.
Remain calm. There is no need for evacuation. Students are reminded that candles (flames) are not permitted. Follow instructions from College officials or local authorities.
Public Safety is monitoring building access.
