Brita manages all study away and study abroad programs for Allegheny College. After 18 1/2 years at American University’s AU Abroad office in Washington, DC, she returned to her roots in northwest PA and began her position at Allegheny in March 2022. Brita holds an MA in International Education and a BA in Spanish Language & Latin American Studies, both from American University. Her own study abroad experiences include a year as a Rotary youth foreign exchange student in Säkylä, Finland during high school and a semester in Santiago, Chile and a semester in Madrid, Spain during college.
