Sustainability in Action: Allegheny Leading the Way

Allegheny is proud to be the first college in Pennsylvania — and 8th in the nation — to achieve carbon neutrality and of its long history and reputation as a leader and innovator in the areas of sustainability and environmental science education.

Join Kelly Mack Boulton ’02, Director of Sustainability, and Kurt Hatcher ’07, Sustainability Coordinator, as they highlight some of the work Allegheny has done to advance sustainability on its campus. They will highlight ways the College uses the Carr Hall Garden, founded in 2013, to establish partnerships across campus and in the Meadville community, teach students valuable skills, facilitate programming and draw in non-Environmental Science majors to learn about sustainability through different entry points. There will be time available for Q&A as well.
