In March, 2018, the Department’s juniors took a field trip to Texas to study ancient rock outcrops near Llano, TX and the Gulf Coast. The trip was led by Profs. Matt Carter and Rachel O’Brien with collaboration with Dr. André Droxler (Rice University). This video was produced by one of the attending students, Lauren Kanavy.

Thinking about graduate school and don’t know where to start? This seminar will provide you with the pertinent information regarding the application process for graduate schools. Topics such as: choosing an institution and advisor, Master’s v. PhD, letters of recommendation, personal statements, internships, and campus resources are some of the topics that will be covered. The seminar will be held on Friday, September 19, 2014, 3:00 to 4:00 pm in Alden Hall, Room 207. Coffee/tea and cookies will be provided.
