Transfer students are an important part of Allegheny college, and we endeavor to provide you with robust support and guidance as you transition into your new life as a Gator. Please see below for key dates and a checklist of items to help you prioritize as you prepare for the semester.
You can find and keep track of your own checklist by Logging Into your New Student Portal. If you’re having issues accessing your portal, make sure you’re logged out of any other email / gmail accounts and logged into your Allegheny Email Account with your Allegheny credentials, then you should be able to access your portal.

Transfer Student Checklist
- Complete your FAFSA; Free Application for Federal Student Aid (003230)
- Request that your official college transcript be sent to the Allegheny Registrar via email at registrar@allegheny.edu
- Complete the Academic Planning and Interest Form
- Schedule an appointment with Amy Stearns, Second-Year Class Dean and Director of Transfer Student Advising, to discuss your course registration plan
- Submit the Housing Preferences & Agreement Form
- Register for the Virtual Transfer Student Orientation
- Complete your Student Agreement
- Fill out your Emergency Contact form
- Select your Meal Plan
- Complete the Health Insurance Agreement
- Upload Health Insurance Card
- Submit your immunization records
- Complete your FERPA release form
- Upload your student ID Photo
- Sign up for Alert Allegheny: Emergency Alert System
Optional Forms
- Arrange any necessary accommodations with Student Accessibility and Support Services if needed
- Register for a Parking Pass if you are bringing your own vehicle to campus
- Physical for athletes if applicable (ask your coach)
- Take the Math Assessment
