Sponsored Study Away Programs in the Fall/Spring

Allegheny has 40 semester-long sponsored programs in over 20 countries!

On a sponsored program, you can:

  • Utilize your Allegheny institutional financial aid
  • Earn transfer credit for coursework taken domestically or around the globe
  • Fulfill major or minor requirements with courses taken while studying away.

Follow the steps to apply to a sponsored program!

Independent Program Approval

First, work with the Global Education office to ensure your needs can’t be met on a sponsored study away program (above). If you study on an independent program, keep in mind that Allegheny financial aid does not apply to independent programs. Follow the steps to apply to an independent program.

Global Learning Seminars

Global Learning Seminars (known as ‘GL Seminars’) are 2-3 week courses led by Allegheny faculty.  These take place each year after the spring semester concludes or as spring break travel embedded into a Spring semester course. Read steps for a GL Seminar application
