Apply to a Sponsored Study Away Program

On a sponsored program, you can utilize your Allegheny institutional financial aid and earn transfer credit for coursework taken domestically and around the globe. Students routinely fulfill major or minor requirements with courses taken while studying away. - Read steps for application
Seek Approval to Attend an Independent Program
- First, work with the Global Education office to ensure your needs can’t be met on a sponsored study away program (above). If you study on an independent program instead, keep in mind that Allegheny financial aid does not apply to independent programs.

Experiential Learning Seminars
- Experiential Learning seminars (known as ‘ELs’) are 2-3 week courses led by Allegheny faculty and staff members and take place each year after the spring semester concludes. EL seminars are on a pause for 2023. A list of 2024 programs will be available in early 2023.
