The Reasons for the Cultural Revolution

Abstract:

The topic of this paper will try to let people understand the thoughts of Mao Zedong about China on the eve of the Cultural Revolution and why he launched the movement in the first place. The Cultural Revolution was a massive movement launched by Mao that changed China’s history forever. The first chapter will look through the history of Mao and the People’s Republic of China and show what drove Mao to launch the Cultural Revolution. The next chapter will show what Mao’s allies did to help him during the Cultural Revolution in order to achieve his goals. The last chapter will look at why the Mao’s major reasons for the Cultural Revolution were important to the Cultural Revolution in the first place. This will help show why Mao launched the Cultural Revolution and see how he tried to accomplish his goals.
