In conjunction with The Year of Mindfulness, The Teaching Tidbits Brown Bag group will read and discuss the book ‘The Slow Professor’ by Maggie Berg and Barbara Seeber. On Monday, October 24, we will discuss the introduction, chapter 1 and chapter 2. On Monday, October 31, we will discuss chapter 3, chapter 4, and the conclusion. Those who would like to join us should secure a copy of the book. It’s a quick read with lots of interesting tips about reflecting on teaching, learning, and scholarship in academia.
