Date: 4/19 - 4/26Time: 12:15 pm

This post has been archived. Information below may be out of date and/or relate to a past event.

Get beyond “I speak [fill in the blank].” Attend the Language Professional Development Workshops sponsored by the Department of Modern & Classical Languages and Career Education on April 19 and April 26 from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m. in Doane 104. Create a succinct “elevator pitch” for yourself, hone your networking skills, and learn ways to expand your opportunities for jobs, internships and grants. (Feel free to BYO lunch.)

The workshops will prepare you nicely for some Celebration Day networking the following week with a host of alumni who have used the language skills they developed at Allegheny to great advantage in their careers. They will present “Alumni Stories: Foreign Language Study Took Me Places!” in the Pelletier Collaboratory on May 2 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event will include a panel discussion, a speed networking session, and a free lunch with the alumni. A reservation is required for this event. Please click here to RSVP.

We encourage any student who speaks or studies any foreign language to take advantage of this tremendous opportunity.
