ITS will perform planned network maintenance the week of March 2nd. Wireless access points will reboot, resulting in localized wireless outages lasting approximately 15 minutes.
Residence Halls: rolling outages between 8am and 5pm
Academic and Administrative buildings: rolling outages between 5pm and 8pm.
February 13th 2025
The network maintenance scheduled for today (firewall replacement) has been postponed to Tuesday, February the 18th at 6 AM. This work could result in an outage lasting up to an hour.
February 11th 2025
ITS will perform planned network maintenance (Firewall Replacement) on February 13th at 6:00 AM, which could result in a network outage lasting up to 1 hour.
February 6th 2025
ITS will perform planned network maintenance (Firewall) the week of February 9th, which may result in brief network outages on Monday the 10th at approximately 4:00 PM, and on Thursday the 13th at approximately 6:00 AM. Thursday’s outage could last up to 1 hour.
January 8th 2025
The College’s Internet Service Provider has informed us that upcoming maintenance could result in a full internet outage for a brief period in the morning hours of either the 9th or 10th of January. This work is estimated to take place between 6:00 and 7:00AM.
December 18th 2024
On Thursday, December 19th ITS and RE Johnson will be testing fiber connections on the South end of campus. The following locations will experience up to 1-hour outages in this order: Loomis Street houses, Schultz, Carnegie, and Physical Plant. This work will begin at approximately 8am and continue through completion.
December 11th 2024
ITS will perform planned network maintenance the week of December 22 through 27, beginning with a brief outage on Sunday the 22nd during the standing maintenance window of 6am to 10am. This outage will last approximately 15 minutes. Additional maintenance will occur during the remainder of the week, resulting in brief, rolling outages across campus.
July 30th 2024
On the afternoon of July 30th there was an event that affected the equipment at the new data center in Doane Hall, causing network outages in the same buildings that were affected by the planned maintenance from the previous week. We’re currently investigating and have identified a temporary workaround that should restore connectivity shortly.
July 19th 2024
As part of the overall network upgrade project that has taken place over the last year, ITS will be performing maintenance on core infrastructure in Doane Hall. Because this task involves the relocation of core network fiber connections, much of campus will be without internet for up to 8 days. Please note that this will also affect the VOIP phone system. The following buildings will be affected.
