The CREATE lab
Visit our CREATE lab—a new state-of-the-art presentation space—designed to facilitate connections between faculty, librarians, and students. The CREATE Center must be registered through Scheduler. The lab is available during the regular open hours of the Pelletier Library; direct technical support hours may vary.

One-on-one Consultations
Our instructional designer & librarians of CREATE are available for one-on-one meetings with faculty and students and to visit classrooms to discuss information literacy and research skills.
The CREATE Faculty Publishing Award
The CREATE Faculty Publishing Award is designed to support full-time faculty members in their pursuit of publishing artistic and scholarly works such as books, articles, monographs, collections, or other items.
Instructional Designer & Scholarly Communications Librarian
Our Instructional Designer & Scholarly Communications Librarian is available to assist with:
- Course or assignment design and development – providing guidance on how to adapt current course assignments or develop new ones to meet Allegheny College standards of excellence.
- Course presentations tools – Leveraging technology to enhance and improve accessibility to the learning activities in your class.
- Course mapping and alignment – mapping course goals and learning outcomes.
- Pedagogical strategies – Applying strategies that enhance student engagement and active learning.
- Copyright, fair use, and intellectual property – applying usage principles to course content and publishing for faculty, staff, and students.
- Publishing and licensing agreements – navigating publishing decisions related to scholarly output.
