The “galette des rois” is a French tradition dating to the Middle Ages and is first celebrated on Three Kings Day. But the truth is… the whole month of January is dedicated to this celebration and eating a delicious cake called a “galette des rois.” WATCH OUT FOR YOUR TEETH! There may be a bean hidden inside your slice, and whoever finds it is crowned king/queen/monarch. Drop by the lobby of North Village I (C Wing — Max Kade International Wing) from 4-6 p.m. on Tuesday, January 31st to get your slice of a “galette des rois” and a hot drink.
