The Crime Awareness and Campus Security Act of 1990 (also known as the Jeanne Clery Act) requires Allegheny College to disclose the Annual Security and Fire Report highlighting crime statistics for the previous three years, safety and awareness programming, student conduct information, and other information on campus crime and incidents.

The Annual Security and Fire Report serves to provide factual information on the following:
- Crime prevention
- Fire safety
- Public Safety law enforcement authority
- Crime reporting policies
- Statistics about crimes that occurred during the previous three years on campus grounds or in designated areas near the campus grounds as well as in other locations specified by law
