The Russo-Japanese War and the Impact of the Japanese Navy

Abstract:

The Russo-Japanese War of 1904-1905 was a short war waged by a new Japanese Empire against an ever encroaching Russia. The Japanese Navy played a major role in Japan achieving this victory over a European power. Investigating the role the Japanese navy played in this victory reveals a nation born from fear responding in a successful manner against those who may endanger it.
