The AC Jazz Band is a performing ensemble in the Music Department at Allegheny College. Membership is by audition. As far as possible, all interested students will be granted membership into the ensemble according to instrumentation needs and audition results. Successfully meeting the credit criteria will result in the granting of one semester-hour of academic credit for those members registered for this course. The AC Jazz Band performs two formal programs on campus, one in the fall, and one in the spring. The ensemble includes saxophones, trumpets, trombones, tubas, piano, percussion, guitar, bass, and a vocalist.
