Do you want to get more involved in Meadville festivities? Do you like to paint for fun? Come to the second floor of the art wing on Thursday, Sept. 14, at 7:30 pm to paint rocks with I Heart Meadville and Student Art Society!!! Why rocks? Well, painting and decorating rocks has been a phenomenon across the country, and even the world, as a way to brighten up our day-to-day lives. Pictures, messages, unicorns, tomatoes, footballs — you name it and it’s probably been painted. Crawford County has a version of this fun activity, and the goal is to hide these painted rocks anywhere and everywhere as a way to make people smile and get them excited about rehiding the rocks for others to find on their daily journey. When people find a rock, they typically take a picture and post it on the Facebook page, talk about how it made their day or how they found it, and then rehide it. Allegheny students are welcome to join this fun community event! Rocks and paint are provided by SAS but feel free to bring your own as well!
