The Second Harvest Food Drive is on Wednesday, November 15, and is looking for volunteer groups of five to seven to weigh, sort, and pack donated goods into boxes for one-hour time slots. All goods go to families in need during the Holiday season. Open volunteer time slots include: 9 to 10 a.m., 10 to 11 a.m., and 2 to 3 p.m. Second Harvest is the only food bank in northwest Pennsylvania that provides food through 308 member agencies and who, in turn, distribute the food to families in need. In the 2015-16 fiscal year, over 1 million pounds of food was distributed in Crawford County. The Food Drive runs from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. and is located at the Meadville Tribune, 947 Federal Court, Arch Street parking lot. To sign-up please email Bethany Cocchi at bcocchi@allegheny.edu
