Do you play violin, viola, cello, or bass? Allegheny College Civic Symphony is looking for you! If you are a student, part of the faculty or staff, or another member of the Allegheny community, you are invited to audition! This semester the Civic Symphony is playing a full program of movie music — themes from favorites like “The Empire Strikes Back,” “The Dark Knight Rises,” “Apollo 13,” and more! The Civic Symphony rehearses on Monday evenings, 7–9:30 p.m. (beginning January 22), and will culminate with the spring concert on Saturday, April 28, at 3:15 p.m. Any interested musicians should contact Dr. Jennifer Dearden at jdearden@allegheny.edu. Students who enroll in Civic Symphony (Music 110) will receive one academic credit.
