Have you always wanted to design a logo for a big celebration? The URSCA Office is sponsoring a student logo design contest for the 2018 Richard J. Cook – Teresa M. Lahti Scholars Symposium. The Scholars Symposium, held on Tuesday, May 1, this year, is designed to celebrate the achievements of Allegheny’s students. The URSCA office will use the winning design for this year’s commemorative sticker and for the cover of the Scholars Symposium program. In addition, the student who submits the winning design will receive a $100 gift card. The URSCA office sees a unique opportunity to use student work to represent the creativity of the student body. So, the only requirements for contest submissions are that 1) the design includes a lightbulb(s) and 2) that the submitted file (JPEG or PNG) for the logo be 300 dpi. We are just looking for a visual logo—the URSCA office will include the name of the celebration over or under the logo on materials as needed. Submissions are due March 5. You can upload your submission using this Google form. Any questions should be directed to Professor Knupsky, the director of URSCA, at aknupsky@allegheny.edu or the URSCA student coordinator, Stella Goodworth, at goodworths@allegheny.edu
