Rotaract Club of Allegheny College, the Meadville AM and Meadville PM Rotary Clubs are hosting the Inaugural Rotary Scholarship Christmas Gala on Saturday, December 1, at the Country Club of Meadville at 6 p.m. The event includes raffles, a silent auction, announcement of scholarship winners. Admission is $10 and food will be served.
This event is to better establish the connection between Allegheny College and the Meadville community. It would be greatly appreciated for Allegheny faculty and students to participate in bringing our community closer together. In doing so, three $500 scholarships are going to local Crawford County students matriculating to Allegheny in the fall of 2019. These scholarships will help fund the recipients basic necessities, perhaps school books and a parking pass. The winners will be announced at this event.
The Inaugural Rotary Scholarship Christmas Gala is fundraising $10,000. Proceeds of the net will be going toward funding the Rehabilitation Project at Meadville’s Bicentennial Park and Rotary International’s project of eliminating polio by helping purchase vaccinations in the Middle East.
