Professor Julie Sze, founding chair of American Studies at the University of California at Davis, will give a talk titled “Toward a Just Transition: Climate Justice, Urban Development and Community Resilience” on Tuesday, November 27, at 12:15 p.m. in the Tillotson Room, Tippie Alumni Center. Lunch will be provided; this event is free and open to the public. Sze was the founding director of the Environmental Justice Project for John Muir Institute of the Environment. Sze researches environmental justice and environmental inequality; culture and environment; race, gender and power; and urban/community health and activism.
