The Interim Director of Speaking seeks applications from students interested in joining the speaking consultant staff. Consultants work with their peers on specific assignments as well as general speaking concerns, and thus develop hands-on teaching experience. Most importantly, consultants help empower others to discover their potential as speakers. We encourage applications from all majors and those who are still undeclared. We also encourage speakers of languages other than English to apply.
Required qualifications include an open mind, a willingness to learn, and an interest in helping others become stronger, more confident speakers; a solid academic record, strong interpersonal skills, and a sense of humor are advantageous.
