Are you a faculty member interested in mentoring community-based student research? Are you open to learning more? The Gateway Network (formally NLKR) is preparing summer 2019 project opportunities for student-faculty partnerships with local organizations. This program provides a stipend for faculty who mentor summer students working on research projects requested by community partners. Faculty and students selected for the program benefit from all summer URSCA programming, including the ACRoSS lunch series and the Reach ACRoSS professional development workshops. They will also receive additional supports throughout the summer. The Civic Engagement office, located in the Gateway, invites you to find out more about the Gateway Network projects. Please join us at an informational lunch meeting for faculty on Monday, February 25, at noon in the Collaboratory. Please RSVP using this link. If you have questions, please email Bethany Cocchi at bcocchi@allegheny.edu.
