Creek Connections invites the Allegheny College community to form teams and sign up for the 2019 French Creek Watershed Cleanup to be held on Saturday, September 7. Teams clean up at locations within the watershed then bring their haul to Voodoo Brewery production facility on Bessemer Street for weigh-in and a free picnic. There will be prizes for school and community groups with most participants, cash drawings for non-corporate groups (corporate groups compete for the coveted hellbender trophy!), and a photo contest with cash prizes. Clean at a time of your group’s choosing then come to the picnic by 4 p.m. Prizes awarded around 4:30, music and fun starting at noon.
