All educators are invited to a Teaching with Technology Lunch workshop with guest speaker David Shiffman, PhD., an interdisciplinary marine conservation biologist, whose research focuses on the ecology and conservation of chondrichthyan fishes. While focusing on cutting-edge interdisciplinary methods to answer policy-relevant questions about threatened species, Shiffman’s research provides many opportunities for collaboration, student research, and public outreach. The workshop will cover the many different ways Twitter can be used for professional networking, as well public engagement and outreach with your scholarship. A detailed step-by-step walkthrough of all of Twitter’s main features will also be covered. When: Thursday, September 12. Lunch will be served beginning at noon, and the discussion will begin at 12:20 p.m. Where: Pelletier Collaboratory. RSVP at this link.
