Sep. 29-Oct. 1: Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year.

Sep. 29-Oct. 8: Navaratri, the Hindu festival honoring goddess Durga. MOSAIC, an inter-religious collaborative, and South Asian Student Society (SASS) hosted a discussion of Hinduism and Navratri on October 3.

Oct. 8: Dasara, the Hindu celebration of victories by many gods and goddesses.

Oct. 8-9: Yom Kippur is the Jewish Day of Atonement, marked with fasting and prayer. Jewish employees planning to attend services should contact Adrienne Krone <akrone> for details.

Oct. 13-20: Sukkot is a Jewish week-long harvest festival, which Hillel will observe by erecting a sukkah (booth) near the Carrden.

Oct. 20: Birth of the Bab celebrates the Herald of the Baha’i faith.

Oct. 27: Diwali is the Hindu festival of Lights.
