Course Overview: 3D Design and Manufacturing will be based around industry-standard practices utilizing powerful 3D design software, 3D printers and other state of the art manufacturing tools. The course will conclude with the option of gaining certification in industry-standard 3D modeling software. Students will be encouraged to think outside of the box in order to solve a given problem while working on-site at ACUTEC, an industry leader in aerospace manufacturing located here in Meadville.
Eligibility: Interested students must be Sophomore, Junior or Senior. 3D modeling or knowledge of manufacturing processes is not required. All academic majors are welcome.
Details:
2-credit hours.
Classes are from 4:00 pm – 6:00pm on Tuesday and Thursday.
