Please be aware that the Pennsylvania Hunting Seasons have started. Many of you may not be familiar with this activity. Therefore, we want to make you aware that if you are in the forests in and around Crawford County, you may encounter hunters. Please wear bright clothing, such as fluorescent orange, if you are performing activities in the woods. This will enable others to see you clearly and not mistake you for wildlife. Allegheny’s Environmental Research Reserve, the Bousson Forest, is not open to hunting; however, we suggest you wear bright clothing in that area as well in the event that you encounter folks who have inadvertently crossed the property line.
