All Gender Housing

Students interested in All Gender Living have the following options:

First-Year Students

First-year students who prefer a housing option that allows them to live with a roommate regardless of gender can select All-Gender Housing on the First-Year Housing Application and Agreement, available on the Housing Portal. No separate application is required—students can simply indicate their preference on the housing form. First-year All-Gender Housing is located in Schultz Hall.

Returning Students

In all-gender housing, returning students can select all-gender spaces in Schultz Hall and Walker/Walker Annex Halls during standard room selection. All-gender restrooms are available in designated spaces.

Residents are expected to:

  • Foster a positive and respectful living environment.
  • Recognize and respect different housing preferences.
  • Engage in the residential community as active members.
  • Abide by all campus housing policies outlined in the Compass Student Handbook.

Independent Living Spaces

Returning students can also choose independent living spaces, which allow for roommate selection without gender-based requirements. Most options are available during the room selection process, with some exceptions, such as specialized language or special interest housing.
