Check out the gathering and prayer space for Buddhist, Hindu, and Muslim students.  Enjoy light refreshments and help us name the house.

“Spiritual, not Religious”
With “unaffiliated” the fastest growing religious category in the country, more and more people consider themselves “spiritual, not religious.”  Whatever your relationship to organized religion, join us for a lively conversation about the changing face of faith and spirituality.  Lunch will be provided.

 

Tuesday, Jan 31

Speaker:  Brett Probert from The Pittsburgh Project
Brett has been with The Pittsburgh Project for two years serving in various capacities, and now is in charge of the summer staff recruiting process.  Dinner before in CC Lobby for students interested in working for The Pittsburgh Project.

Amy Beisel Hill, Class of 1993 and Director of Communications at Pennsylvania Catholic Conference, shares about the Catholic principle of Faithful Citizenship and a Christian’s moral obligation to be actively involved with civic participation.

 

Thursday, Feb 2
5:00 pm, Sojourners Christian Fellowship, Campus Center 206
This third session of a campus reading series on religion and sexuality focuses on how sexual orientation has divided faith communities.  Dinner will be provided.

5:30 pm, Shabbat Service and Dinner, Jewish Community Center
Shabbat is a time for reflection, and is celebrated every Friday in the Jewish Calendar.  People use it to reflect on the week, and on the upcoming week as well.  Everyone is welcome!
 
8:00 pm, Late Night Event, Interfaith Jeopardy, CC Lobby
Who will be Jeopardy champ.  Come and find out.

 

Saturday, Feb 4
3-6:00 pm, Interfaith Bowling Competition, Stone UM Church
Bowling, Pizza, and Fun.  More details to follow.
