Dr. Jason Delfing (he/him) recently completed his Ph.D. in music education at Case Western Reserve University. He currently teaches Music Appreciation and Music History at Allegheny College. Additionally, Dr. Delfing is the director of the Allegheny Wind Symphony. He has 18 years of teaching experience in both public and private schools and has taught in Arizona, California, and Ohio.

Dr. Delfing holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Cleveland State University and a Master of Arts in Education, Administration, and Supervision from the University of Phoenix. He also holds a Master’s Degree in Music Education from Arizona State University. His research interests include the characteristics of cooperating teachers and the development of quality music educators.

Dr. Delfing and his wife, Theresa, are the proud aunt and uncle of seven nieces and two nephews. Go Guardians!
