If you missed it, we encourage you to watch the virtual Matriculation Ceremony for the Class of 2024. Thanks are due to colleagues who planned this event (Conference and Events and the Allegheny Bound team) and College Relations for producing the webpage and video. New students were welcomed by the president of Allegheny Student Governement and the chair of the Honor Committee, President Hilary Link, and Professor Heather Moore-Roberson, recipient of the 2020 Thoburn Award for Teaching Excellence. Professor Moore-Roberson challenges the listener “to be bold in the midst of uncertainty” and inspires that “people can still walk in their purpose and accomplish meaningful goals in the face of so much despair.” As is customary, the ceremony closed with a rendition of the Alma Mater led by Professor James Niblock and some of his students. We thank all who were involved.
