UPDATE: the Winter Weather Advisory has been extended until 1 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 4.
The National Weather Service has issued two weather advisories for our area:
- Winter Weather Advisory (Thursday, Feb. 2, 7 p.m. through Friday, Feb. 3, 11 a.m.)
- Wind Chill Advisory (Friday, Feb. 3, 4 a.m. through Sat., Feb. 4, 9 a.m.)
Total snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches, winds gusting as high as 35 mph, and wind chills as low as 15 below zero are expected. Please keep the following in mind:
- Wear clothing appropriate for the weather conditions, including a coat, hat, gloves, dressing in layers, etc.
- Wear appropriate footwear. Physical Plant arrives before dawn to clear pathways and is attentive to campus throughout the day, but changing conditions can make it difficult to keep pathways clear at all times.
- Remember to close windows and doors to help prevent damage to buildings
